The best locations are Hikkaduwa, Kalpitiya, Bentota, Arugam Bay, Mirissa, Beruwela, Trincomalee and Pasikudah. Most locations will offer you all types of water sports, but mentioned below are the ones the different locations are known for best.
In Hikkaduwa you can go surfing, jet ski riding, and – from December to April – deep sea fishing. The waves at the coast of Hikkaduwa are 2 to 6 feet, so surfing is for many levels of mastering, from the novice to the expert.
